Celebrating the extraordinary women whose leadership and compassion inspire our community.
After successfully hosting the first ever “An Evening to Celebrate International Women’s Day” in 2007, it was agreed that we should add something more for year two. So, the Milverton Women’s Initiative Committee decided to honour and recognize, not just the scholarship winners but also women of all ages who have had an extraordinary impact on other people. Nominations are collected each year and unsuspecting women are called up to the stage, their nomination is read aloud, the names of their nominees are shared and a special moment is enjoyed by the winners and the audience!
